The initial service of Re|Sourceful matches meeting planners, conference centers, and hotels with area non-profits and schools to directly donate unused or leftover office supplies that would otherwise be discarded at the end of a conference. Re|Sourceful will help meeting planners and hotels be more sustainable while directly helping the community where their meeting is taking place.
HOW IT WORKS
Re|Sourceful's main clients will be hotels, conference centers, and meeting planners, who will pay a fee to be matched with a local non-profit and provided pre-labeled shipping materials. At the end of a conference, the client simply places the unneeded office supplies in a box and attaches the pre-paid shipping label for those materials to go directly to a local non-profit or school. In return, Re|Sourceful will deliver a report to the hotel and/or meeting planner that explains how their contribution supports the local community. Also providing social media-ready collateral to share with their leadership, members, and stakeholders. The more conferences, meetings, and events the client engages with Re|Sourceful, the more sustainable the organization becomes, the more data they have to share with their stakeholders, and the bigger impact the client has on giving back to the community at large. Re|Sourceful makes everyone win.
FOR EXAMPLE:
For example, Association of Examples (AOE) 2018 National Meeting is at the Baltimore Convention Center October 27 - November 1. If AOE signed a contract with Re|Sourceful, they would have digital sustainability collateral to use on their own website and conference materials to share their commitment to sustainability before and at the conference to attendees, members, and stakeholders. On the last day, AOE would box up the leftover office supplies and use the the pre-printed shipping labels already addressed to a local non-profit in Baltimore, and fill out a simple online inventory form. Within the next few days, Baltimore non-profit receives the tangible supplies needed to help carry out their work with Baltimore city youth and AOE receives data, complete with social media ready collateral, about the positive impact they made in Baltimore
